The State University of New York at Buffalo
Comprehensive Postdoctoral Training in Scientific Education Research
Training Director: Julie Sarama» This training program immerses postdoctoral fellows in ongoing projects in applied scientific research in education, and provides them with complementary training in the use of state-of-the-art methodologies. The ultimate aim is to identify the conditions under which interventions to improve preK-12 student learning and achievement in reading, mathematics, and the sciences succeed when applied on a large scale. The research team is currently evaluating the scale-up of a preschool mathematics curriculum with proven effectiveness. This scale-up project provides the immediate context for work with postdoctoral fellows, and is replete with opportunities for fellows to participate and extend multiple empirical questions.
