Comprehensive Postdoctoral Training in Scientific Education Research

This training program immerses postdoctoral fellows in ongoing projects in applied scientific research in education, and provides them with complementary training in the use of state-of-the-art methodologies.  The ultimate aim is to identify the conditions under which interventions to improve preK-12 student learning and achievement in reading, mathematics, and the sciences succeed when applied on a large scale.  The research team is currently evaluating the scale-up of a preschool mathematics curriculum with proven effectiveness.  This scale-up project provides the immediate context for work with postdoctoral fellows, and is replete with opportunities for fellows to participate and extend multiple empirical questions.
